A Bit About Me
While living in Houston I found my passion for teaching where I began my educational career teaching AP English Language and Literature at a Title I High School. After graduating, I moved back home to Austin where I began teaching middle school US History in South Austin. While teaching US History, I won multiple awards and recognitions for scoring my student's performance on the STAAR exam. After teaching US History, I moved to teach 6th grade science in North Austin where I earned TEA distinction as a "Recognized Teacher." After 8 years of being in the general education setting, I earned my certification in Special Education EC-12 and taught various life skills courses. When I am not teaching, I can be found playing my Nintendo Switch, caring for my animals and plants, or hanging out with my family and wonderful kids.
